Nick, great to sit down and talk to you about where you are and where you want to go at the collegiate academic & athletic level. So, tell us... how did the process all begin? "My life has definitely not been an ego of consequences given to me. Starting from about 7th grade, I was constantly told how important college was to succeed in life. Coming from a family with both parents going to college, my character was set. My mom would mention to me a couple of times that I needed to go to college, but never told me what it took to get there... they began, instead, to show me." Go on, Nick...
"At first, school and grades was more of a competition to see who the smartest kid in class was. I was by far not the smartest, but instead had the dexterous mindset that I could "out work" anybody in class. By that time, my life consisted about nothing more than academics which currently put me at number one spot in my class. This hard-working potential, which entirely came from self-interest that got me here today, told me that I had an opportunity to "switch gears" and do more with the greatest game ever played (and that I ever played), baseball."
In a way of being self-confident instead of a conceited way of speaking, I promise that I can, and will, out work anybody put in my path in order for my future to be successful. My dreams are a long and bumpy road to a bright future, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there.

Sounds like you found a winning formula... Now, applied to baseball, how did it go? "Competition has been that one factor has that has been my impetus to out-work anybody, even if it comes down to competing against my best friend." Wow... So, give us the average day of training for you... "My day starts by waking early (around 04:00) to work and get stronger to become a better athlete. There are days that I don’t want to wake up, but I remind myself that there is nothing more in the world that would make me happier than going on to a bigger and better game of baseball." Again, sounds like you found the winning formula that has been your backing in the area of confidence! Truth-Spin, Inc. wishes you all the best and is glad to help you succeed, Nick. |
